The USANA Foundation

Mission

The USANA Foundation provides immediate and long-term global relief for those in severe need. We lead a network of community-driven partnerships to nourish, equip, and eliminate hunger throughout the world.

Why was the USANA Foundation established?

The USANA Foundation was initially established as The USANA True Health Foundation in 2012 to make it easier for USANA’s worldwide family of Associates and customers to make a real difference in the world with their charitable donations and to provide relief for those with the greatest needs. It was also created to broaden the USANA family’s global donations around the world and to make participation in USANA’s charitable activities accessible to the general public.

The USANA True Health Foundation changed its name to the USANA Foundation in January 2020. While the name has changed, the mission remains the same.

Four Times the Impact

Since the Foundation's inception, it has evolved far beyond simply providing food and nutrition for the less fortunate around the world. Its approach to battle hunger has developed in the following areas:

Meals

Provide emergency food relief to those suffering loss, tragedy, and extreme malnutrition until long-term solutions can be executed.

In July of 2019, the Foundation provided a US $50,000 grant to Convoy of Hope for food and necessity kits—canned vegetables, fresh fruit, canned meats, cooking oil, salt, coffee, personal hygiene items—for 1,428 families in Puerto Rico after the island was ravaged by hurricanes.

Not only did these efforts help people in immediate need, it provided the opportunity for displaced people to build relationships with local agencies and organizations for long-term relief.

Sustainable Programs

Empower and equip individuals to create long-lasting sources of nutritious food.

The Foundation can’t be everywhere at once. But they can help those in need help themselves.

In early 2019, the Foundation provided US $7,200 to build a fish, frog, and mushroom farm for a village outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand—all renewable food and income sources for the impoverished residents.

USANA Nutrition

Distribute premium USANA supplements and alternative sources of food with higher levels of nutrients to those suffering extreme malnourishment.

For years, the Foundation has supplied Usanimals™, a chewable daily vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant supplement, to many areas of the world where children suffer from malnutrition. In 2018, USANA started the Usanimals program, where USANA contributes two bottles of Usanimals for each bottle purchased as a donation.

Serve

Join a team of passionate individuals who seek out, serve, and provide lasting support for charities and partnerships within their communities.

While monetary donations are essential to the Foundation, time is just as valuable.

When the Foundation provided the grant to Thailand, a team of Associates and employees volunteered to travel to Chiang Mai to help pour the cement walls needed to house the frog farm and craft the mushroom hut from bamboo poles and leaves.

Doing More with Less

Humanitarian work, monetary and product donations, fundraising projects, collaborations with other nonprofit groups—the Foundation lifts others out of despair, making an immeasurable difference around the world.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Your donation may be tax deductible if you pay taxes in the United States, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, France, Canada, Philippines, or if the country in which you live permits it as a tax deduction. Please talk to your tax professional for exact details.

Can anyone donate?

Yes. Anyone in the world can donate to the USANA Foundation.
